Wonderful news today. My cousin Janna and her hubby Neil are pregnant. With twins. September 4. That's three babies at the next Rosh Hashanah when last year there were none.
I can't believe how quickly it's happening. Five years ago the weddings began. Now the first girls to have weddings are the first ones to be moms. All of this has an order to it. It's hard to explain.*
In news less monumental, I'm not a fan of my haircut. The last haircut I got was a sort of sexy mullet, and it looked pretty cute I must admit. But the mullet giveth and the mullet taketh away. Now I just have bad hair. And my 1982 Journey Escape Tour shirt. Both of which look kinda good together.
The italian word for the day is anticipazione which means, naturally, anticipation. Today's word would have been the translation of mullet but the word appears not to exist in Italian. I wonder what they do for bad hair then?
Notes:
*hard to explain: Sometimes I wonder if that's my story or if I'll be this 34-year-old woman who didn't settle down with a guy but found a surrogate mother to have twins for her. Now that the surrogate mother has become pregnant with twins, the 34-year-old woman herself has gotten pregnant and is due three months after her twins are born. It's a crazy story, and true, by the way. She's in my sister's moms-to-be class. So are a lot of other people who are having triplets and twins because of the fertility drugs.

So do I understand that this one woman is going to be a mother to THREE babies within the span of 3 months??
Yes. That's the birth of twins by her surrogate, and then 3 months later the birth of her own fluke-baby (not to be confused with the Fluke Man, a popular larvae-like creature from the X-files).
