Here's a resolutions checkup:

1) Get my health back in order
Status: ongoing. My annual physical is on Friday, and my appointment with the rheumatologist is on the 27th. I hate going to the gym so that's a continuous source of guilt, but I think everyone's like that. Is it totally ridiculous to ride my bike to work every morning? The New Year's diet has been deferred to January 15, which makes today the day.

2) Learn enough Italian for my trip, upcoming
Status: also ongoing. Sometimes I go to the library and study, and I've got the phrases I need to know all ready. Un biglietto per l'autobus, per favore. Grazie. .. Sono canadese .. Dov'è l'ostello della gioventù?

3) Smoke less drugs.
Status: I'm working on it. I just keep trying to get rid of it all. And there's only one way to do that.

4) Get a brazilian.
Status: appointment this Thursday. Ow-wow! Mon dieu!

5) Go out next New Years
Status: check back in a year, I guess.

6) Floss my teeth every night
Status: successful! Unless I'm all stumbly-home and it's late at night.

In an effort to improve my linguistic skills, I'm taking a cue from Francis Strand and his lovely blog. So. The italian word for today is seguito. It means follow-up.
