Among other things I said in my high school yearbook: "If you ever grow up and want to buy a house in the suburbs because 'it's a nice place to raise a family' DON'T! Look what happened to me!"*
I really need to re-evaluate the statement, "this week I will work from home," when
"work" is to mean writing, baking, or "researching"
"home" is to mean Ezra's house, not my own
"week" is to mean the days I'm not hanging out downtown
"work from home" might suggest I have a place to work away from home
"this week" is to mean that, other than the fact that I'm in Guelph, this week is any different from the others that I've been as unemployed
Still I managed to accomplish quite a bit in the culinary department** and wrote a bit more in the book that waits unwritten. 800 words is a good turnout for a writer's block the size of a car battery.
Notes:
* You can forgive an 18-year-old's bad grammer, can't you?
** culinary department: flounder in dill, focaccia with danish blue cheese and pine nuts, and about 20 new desserts. Thanks to Ezra who paid for, and subsequently ate, most of the ingredients.
