help! bats! everywhere!

"Humanity has advanced, when it has advanced, not because it has been sober, responsible, and cautious, but because it has been playful, rebellious, and immature." Tom Robbins

So the pressure is on for my upcoming birthday. Family and friends alike demand what I want to do.

The answer (as I tried to explain to someone already) is that I'd love to find a middle-ground between celebrating my birthday and having it pass unacknowledged. Be it known: nothing upsets me more than having a group of people sing 'Happy Birthday' to me. Oh god I hate it. I hate it more than the dying mice my cat leaves outside the door. I even hate it more than the putrid-smelling man at my library who used to sit by the C-Books in Fiction (aka Joseph Conrad).

So if there were already going to be good plans this weekend, I'm in. Maybe if someone else was having a birthday this weekend . . . yes, I like the sound of that already. I get more excited about other peoples' birthdays anyway. Speaking of which, when is the next one? Let me know, peoples, and I'll bake the cake. And write your name on it too.
