"Humanity has advanced, when it has advanced, not because it has been sober, responsible, and cautious, but because it has been playful, rebellious, and immature." Tom Robbins

I like to steal links from other people's blogs, and in today's case, Vicki's. As commercials go, I couldn't watch this one more than twice. However it's worth posting for hilarity's sake.

Today I'll be returning to my college to give a talk about careers and book publishing and giving a care. Am I that old already? Look, I'm wearing my suit. Holy goddamn, I got old.

Tonight, however, I buy me tickets for Shout Out Louds!. I wrote to them once too. This was to tell them that at their last show in Toronto I touched the drummer's bum, and though maybe he didn't notice, it felt very good anyway.

I suppose in this modern e-world of ours someone has to use mail.

Actually, I'm assuming you did it the old fashioned way. When you say write do you usually mean email or snailmail?

E-mail it was it was.

I mailed a fan letter to Luke Perry when I was 12. He never wrote back. I think about it every day.

That makes me very sad... I never understood why Luke Perry achieved the kind of infamy he did. Then again I was never a 12 year old girl. Or was I?

Now that I think of it, why did I write to Luke Perry when I had a much bigger crush on Jason Priestly in his mullethead-moves-to-West-Beverley days. Swoon . . .

Well, guess who's promoting CIBC's run for the cure? Jason Priestly! And he still has exactly the same hair! Looks like a sex-pest. Did you see that commercial?
