"Humanity has advanced, when it has advanced, not because it has been sober, responsible, and cautious, but because it has been playful, rebellious, and immature." Tom Robbins

Spoiler for a wimpy-ass blog post: Skip this if you hate those kinds of blogs. I don't blame you. Come back eventually though.

It is a myth that everyone is in love on Valentine's Day, and that you are the different one if you happen to be single. Vice said that only about 15* percent of the population is likely to be in love on Valentine's Day**. I like Vice. Say what you will, but the world makes more sense with that magazine in it.

There was more but it's better to leave it here. Who needs more anyway? More is overrated.

Notes:
*15: in my next post I plan to write my own style guide. What if I don't like the current rules about which numbers you spell with letters and which you spell with numbers? What if I haven't bothered to learn the actual rules but I still want to be right? Yeah.

**in love on Valentine's Day: This is actually my favourite fact about Valentine's day. It points out that some people are in couples and have their reasons for not celebrating.
